Background:
Golf is a dying sport. Ratings are down, equipment sales are lagging, and the number of rounds played annually has fallen.
Part of the issue involves the sport’s aging demographics and the athletic tastes of Millennials and Gen Zers, who just aren’t that into an expensive, pokey sport that provides few health benefits.
But don’t knock it till you try it.
Direction: The best parts of golf aren’t golfing. It’s the little things that make golf great. The beer, the food, and the friends. Golf. It’s more than just a game.
